Our team researches, innovates and creates solutions that deliver healthy results for our customers.JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACTThe Senior Quality Assurance Technician will complete complex analytical and laboratory testing in support of the food safety quality and operational teams. In this role, you will perform various analysis of product testing, be responsible for checking and monitoring instrumentation performance, conduct tests and document results into databases and communicate test results. Be part of a quality-driven group of fun, energetic people who thrive in a fast-moving environment where every day brings something new!KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Perform routine analysis on ingredients, final and in process products and ensure that finished products meet required specifications prior to releasing shipments.Enter data into databases and communicate results verbally or in writing, resolve problems by examining and evaluating data and select corrective steps.Assist with the evaluation and interpretation of highly complex data, identifies problems with atypical test results consulting with upper level personnel.Support trials and experiments under the direction of more senior team members.Perform food safety and quality leadership, coaching and mentoring to facility employees.Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.Other duties as assigned.LI-AM11 LI-OnsiteQUALIFICATIONS MINUMUMHigh school diploma, secondary education level or equivalentPossesses proven working knowledge of laboratory instrumentationMinimum of four years of related work experience within a laboratory or food manufacturing environment.Able and willing to work on rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidaysAble and willing to lift up to 50 poundsPREFERREDBachelor’s degreeWorking knowledge of Good Laboratory PracticeStrong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasksQuick to adapt and collaborate effectively across departmentsStrong communication and time management skillsAPPLICANT INFORMATIONThis position is posted both internally and externally.Position is based in Cedar Rapids, IowaRelocation assistance is not provided for this roleEqual Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vet.
