Class A Driver - Solo & Team - Home Daily, Weekly

Flex drivers must be willing to run both solo and team routes. Flex drivers are responsible for filling in for drivers who are out sick, on vacation, etc.

Work consists of delivering aftermarket parts (lose package pieces i.e. hoods, bumpers, doors, etc.) to Honda dealerships.

If on a night route the driver will be given the keys to unlock the gate/doors at dealership. They are responsible for unloading the trailer, scanning in the new load being delivered, picking up returns and locking the dealership back up before heading out.

Hiring Area: 50-mile radius of Davenport, IA
Lanes: IA, IL, IN, KS, MN, MO, ND, SD, NE, WI (could cover any of the domiciles as needed. We would put them up in a hotel if needed. A lot of Chicago driving.
Miles: 1500 Solo / 3000 Team Miles - Averages 8 stops
Schedule: Start times can vary anywhere between 17:00 to 01:00. Monday - Saturday

Home Time:

• Team drivers are home weekly (drivers are teaming 90% of the time).
  
• Solo drivers are home daily.
  Equipment Types:
  2014-2021 Peterbilt Automatic Transmission With Pre-Pass and EZ Pass (28 /48 Dry Van with lift gates) routes require 28 van Doubles endorsement
  
  Freight Types:
  
  • Touch freight: Automotive Part (cages, totes, loose pieces)
    
  • Truck Speed: 65 pedal and cruise
    Bonus: New Hire Transition Bonus: $500 paid in full on second paycheck
    Referral Bonus: $3,000
    
    Accessorial Pay:
    
    • Stop Pay All stop excluding Final: $13.00 Single, $15.00 Team Spilt
      
    • Delay pay $18.54 per hour solo and $9.27 per hour team after 15 min free time (does not pay at stop unless it is a dealer caused delay
      Requirement:
      
      • 12 months recent tractor-trailer experience
        
      • Double preferred but not required on this specific account
        
      • Drivers must be comfortable with maneuvering in downtown Chicago
        
      • The physical requirement is handling, positioning and securing delivery roller cages and lifting loose boxed parts on the floor and overhead in trailer attic on/off trailer in/out of dealership. Weight lift/handling range 40 -75 lbs.
        Training:
        Drivers will have to complete a minimum of one week of training on the account before they can run without a trainer. All drivers will be paid an hourly rate of $18.54. The total hours they will be running each day depends on calls out as this is a flex position.
