Using plant-based resources, we collaborate with our customers and partners to imagine and offer ingredients to better feed people and treat patients.Each of our ingredients responds to unique and essential needs, and they enable healthier lifestyles.Job Summary:Supports and adheres to all safety, environmental and quality requirements.Qualifies and maintains proficiency in all applicable technical skills and meets jobdescription requirements for those positions.Responsible for maintenance and improvements of machines such as: mechanical rotatingequipment, conveying equipment, vibrating equipment, mechanical drives, and thesupport for each.Responsibilities include maintenance improvements of piping in our plant such as: pipe,fittings, valves, spouts, chutes, and some thin metal fabrication and repairs. Also includessome minor carpentry and insulation work.Performs other duties as assigned.Essential functions and additional responsibilities:Wears designated PPEQualified and physically able to wear and work in a dust mask and full-face respiratorProtects safety, the environment and quality craftsmanship in all situationsMay work rotating shifts as scheduledQualifies to drive a fork lift, JLG, and carry deck crane on an as-needed basisTroubleshoot and repair assets to their desired operating function.Works with operation employees to troubleshoot equipment repairs and modifications.Works closely with employees, contractors and outside personnelCommunicates effectively, both written and verbal, with employees, contractors andoutside personnelCompletes shop papers with detailed description of work performed during the repair andtime to complete the task.Performs assigned computer functionsSafely lifts tools, parts and equipment, using others or mechanical means to ensure a safelift.Ascends and descends stairs up to 12 storiesWorks in hot and humid inside environmentWorks outside in all seasonsCarries out work plan and housekeeping schedule as defined in Shop Papers or specifiedby Associate Team Leader/ Team LeaderPerforms essential functions of the job he/she is assigned to performAccountabilities: Satisfactory performance of this job yields the following results
On budget safety, environmental and quality performanceQuality job performance, meeting technical and time expectationsA clean and tidy workplacePositive interaction and good morale with employees, contractors and outsidepersonnelJob Specifications:Adheres to all safety, environmental, and quality requirementsIs able to operate hand and power tools, welding, rigging, exhibits troubleshooting skills,has pipe design skills, ability to read blueprints and P&ID. Skills in maintaining turbinesand compressor, general lubrication knowledge and high mechanical skills.Performs emergent, reactive, and mechanical PM lubrication tasks.Commonly uses a computer to perform various functions.Performs assigned environmental and housekeeping tasksRequires minimal supervision to perform assigned dutiesAssists in developing standardized mechanical methods, hardware, system designs andmaintaining piping and process standards while installing new piping and rotatingequipment.Fits and performs socket weld, butt weld and threaded pipe.Runs and bends SS tubing.Runs groove pipe.Fabricates CPVC, PVC, Fibercast piping.Qualifies as a certified rigger.Recommends and acts on preventative maintenance on mechanical and piping systems.Uses shop papers to clearly document recommendations and provide precise/concisedescription of work completed.Completes basic sheet metal work. i.e. guards.Completes activities or projects on time and within budget.Recommends improvements on existing mechanical and piping systems.Assists in developing work standards, methods and equipment design.Identifies spare parts and inventory levels on newly installed equipment and mechanicaland piping systems.Is able to find spare parts in SAP for all mechanical and piping systems.Adheres to relevant repair standards whenever possible, discussing deviations withassociate team leader/team leader as needed.Maintains a clean work place.Performs other duties as assigned.If you identify yourself in this position, please apply byuploading your resume and let's start the journey together !Roquette is proud to be a global company where you can find personal and professional growth through multiple diverse experiences.
