Production Lead


Stratas Foods LLC is the leading supplier of fats and oils to the Foodservice, Food Ingredients and Retail Private Label markets in North America and is a producer of quality bulk and packaged dressings, mayonnaise and sauces. Stratas Foods was formed in October 2008 as a 50/50 joint venture between ACH Food Companies (ACH) and Archer Daniels Midland (ADM).


Manufacturing facilities are located in Dallas and Houston, TX; Decatur and Quincy, IL; Englewood, NJ; Fresno, CA; Nashville, TN; and Valdosta, GA. Corporate offices are located in Memphis, TN. This position supports plant operations by providing leadership to the packaging areas. Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs and tasks as required. Additionally, candidates must be able to work any shift, overtime and weekends, as required.


The tasks required include, but are not limited to: general housekeeping (i.e. clean up, sweeping, vacuuming), painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework, operate a motorized fork lift, and miscellaneous duties, as assigned.


Primary Duties:

• 
  
• Coordinate production with production scheduler and operators
  
• Direct and assign housekeeping duties to maintain clean production areas
  
• Update cleaning schedule logs
  
• Assure quality of product produced
  
• Monitor production rates
  
• Fill in on production lines as needed (breaks, lunches, vacations, etc.)
  
• Identify needed mechanical improvements
  
• Make necessary mechanical repairs when possible
  
• Identify and work to eliminate unsafe conditions and or practices
  
• Monitor completion and accuracy of production reports
  
• Plan/prepare oil so operator is not waiting for product
  
• Load and unload bulk oil/ ingredient trucks as needed
  
• Complete necessary steps of strapping tanks and recording in log books.
  
• Tank to tank transfers from hydro to packaging, additive blending of tanks.
  
  
  
  Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
