Job Description:

FUNCTION Manages functions and systems related to ALL demand (Finished goods, service, inter-factory, aftermarket, etc.) estimates/forecast and schedule development, ending with order acceptance and control. Develops a plan that accurately reflects sales forecast while meeting customer demand for product availability and delivery, taking into consideration factors such as machine capacity, staffing, supplier lead times and market demand. Supports manufacturing operations by planning, scheduling, and monitoring production performance to meet approved financial objectives. Supervises a team of coordinators and schedule planners.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

Manages Sales and Operations Planning functions within the factory from demand estimates/forecast to development of factory production schedules and MRP requirements. Analyzes data and proposes improvements to the process, influencing other functional areas.Ensures that order placement, processing and all related activities are completed in a timely manner.Owns and maintains factory constraints/policy alignment. Negotiates internal and external flexibility agreements.Creates and maintains master production schedules to meet demand, considering factory capacity constraints including material, machines, and labor.Resolves questions, issues related to placement/maintenance of production orders. Direct production liaison with the customer.Monitors production/inventory/sales levels to optimize utilization of resources, taking appropriate action where necessary.Plans and coordinates with other departments and functions to achieve objectives.Facilitates development of long-range goals and objectives to improve production planning and production control.Assists operations and project groups in coordinating production readiness for implementation of new products. Maintains schedule for new product introductions.Performs administrative duties related to managing performance, salary pay, resource planning, budget, team training and development of direct reports to maintain core competencies and build new capabilities.
