With a continuous improvement mindset and a real focus to empower Roquette teams, we support effectively and efficiently the main operational processes: Development and Innovation, Supplier partnership, Manufacturing, Delivery and Customer service.Location: Keokuk, IASchedule: 12-hour Rotating Schedule (includes weekends and holidays)- Great rotation schedule: It is like working a month and getting half off!Great Incentives:$1,000 Sign on bonus!Retention Bonus- $1,000 at 6, 12, and 18 month service anniversary!Student Loan Paydown Program!Key DutiesPerforms quality control tests utilizing standard lab equipment (e.g. spectrophotometer, HPLC, pH meter) to evaluate and report on the quality of products manufactured with defined specifications.Reads, understands and follows laboratory standard operating procedures, using ability to perform qualitative and quantitative assays.Manages, coordinates and executes tasks including:Analytical instrumentation calibrationWet-chemistry and instrumental analysis of in-process and final productsExecution of validation studiesTactical management of retained samples based on established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Basic laboratory equipment and instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting, as directed.Provides laboratory work coverage on a rotating swing-shift schedule to support 24/7 RAI Mini-Plant operations.Works collaboratively with internal and external constituents, including Quality Assurance, Mini-Plants, Customer Care, Shipping and external vendors.Laboratory and Plant Environment:High placesHeights with safety guards or equipmentDriving automotive equipmentExtreme heat / coldExtreme humid / wetAtmosphere (poor lighting, ventilation)Being around moving equipmentExposure to marked changes in temperature & humidityDriving automotive equipment such as a golf cartExposure to dust, fumes and gassesChemical, biological and other hazardsRequired Competencies, Education and ExperienceBS Degree Chemistry/Biology/ or related fieldStrong oral and written communicationDemonstrated computer skillsStrong problem solving, innovative and analytical skillsCOMPETENCIES:We expect four leadership skills from all our employees: Act like a valuable team member Target quality and excellence Be disciplined and compliant Make decisions quickly and with determination.
