Are you up for the dare?This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.Position SnapshotAs a Materials Planning Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing assigned commodities to ensure 100% availability to meet scheduled production, as well as administering materials payables accurately and according to contract terms.Facilitate reports showing current inventory (on hand + expected) and compare inventory status to the updated production schedule and determine commodity ordering requirements.Place delivery orders against approved corporate contracts using SAP. Engage professionally with supplier and/or NPPC hired carriers to schedule just-in-time delivery to support the production schedule. Dispatch communication of new purchase orders to vendors and dispatch delivery appointments with carriers. Continuously monitor/follow-up on expected shipments to ensure on-time delivery. Expedite or modify deliveries (as needed) to support changes in the production schedule/commodity inventory position.Work closely with all Procurement levels with regards to contracts and needs of the plant to support production.Organize daily rail report using Ravens rail reporting. Calculate new and available cars and distribute to appropriate personnel. Update Track sheet with daily demurrage.
