Evans Resource Solutions is a respected and dependable provider of logistics staffing services in the US.We were founded in 1929 in downtown Detroit.We have grown and have a presence in most major markets in the Midwest.One of our founding principles is that people make the difference.We are looking for great, talented people to continue our growth and success.We have immediate openings for Forklift Operators in Rock Island, IL.The Forklift Operator will unload freight and locate into shipping zones for consolidation. Consolidated freight will be carefully loaded by the Forklift Operator in the proper order of delivery, maximizing the capacity of each trailer.This is a cross dock environment, with open shipping doors on both sides of the facility.The temperature of inside the facility is the same as outdoors. This is a full time position.Shifts are 5am to 1:30pm.Pay is $20 per hour.Medical, Dental and Optical insurance is available after 90 days of employment.Essential Job functions:Load and unloadshipments safely and move product as needed with forklift.Efficiently stack and store merchandise in the appropriate area.Check in, scan or count freight for accuracy and/or damage and infestation.Prepare necessary paperwork and submit to Operations Manager.Frequent & repetitive lifting using both hands/arms for items weighingapproximately 50 lbs.The lifting frequency may be in excess of 100 repetitions per shift.Frequent bending and twisting at waist/knees/neck while off-loading and loading trucks.Help maintain cleanliness of warehouse and building grounds.Handle customer products with integrity.Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate safety and security standards.Assist in warehousing operations as needed, and all other miscellaneous duties as requested by Supervisor.Responsible for awareness and compliance with warehouse work rules and company policies.The best candidates will have at least one year of experience in a fast paced cross dock or transportation terminal.Must pass a criminal background check.Please submit your resume and any documentation we should consider.
