$2,000 Sign-On Bonus for 2nd Shift & $2,500 Sign-On Bonus for 3rd ShiftFor the Auger Mount division, Timken Drives is now looking for an experienced welder. Welding components on shafts to various sized Augers will be one of the welder's repetitive tasks. The welder will follow written instructions from the shop, verbal instructions given, and designs.Essential Tasks of the Job

• Set the welders' heat settings. Inserting material requires a hand crank. Affix the attachment or flight, turn on the welder, examine the joint, and make any minor modifications required.
• Check welds for appropriate placement and make a few small modifications to the welder gun's position.
• Find defective materials or equipment and alert the supervisor to any possible problems. Maintain your workspace, tools, and equipment correctly.
• the pallet with the final chain. Lifting chain from a pallet to a welding table and back again once welding is finished is required for flight welding.
• Accept training in reading blueprints, using gauges and other measuring equipment used in manufacturing, as well as in relevant statistical process control concepts and other quality control techniques, if you are responsible for quality.
• All safety rules and practices must be understood and followed.
• Complete all training required to guarantee that all employment requirements are met.**Minimum Requirements:**
  • 2-5 years of manufacturing welding experience desired.
  • Blueprint readingEducation and/or Experience:
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
    • Welding certification preferred.You should be proficient in:
      • Blueprint Reading
      • Welding Setups for Production
      • Meets Physical Requirements
      • High School / GED
      • Excellent Communication Skills
      • Experience in a Manufacturing EnvironmentMachines & technologies you'll use:
        • MIG Welder
