Notes: We are looking for a Temp Buyer II ASAP reporting to the
manager. Temp to hire is desired, but will depend on performance. 6
month contract. Much of the work will be remote to manager
discretion, but when company implements a "return to work" plan,
onsite reporting will be required. We are seeking a Buyer for our
rapidly-growing Davenport, IA facility. The successful candidate
will be part of a dynamic team and will plan, schedule and monitor
the movement of materials through the production cycle and will
determine required materials purchases.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Procure a variety of goods and services in accordance with
company policies in an MRP/ERP environment.
Review and issue purchase-orders and make necessary changes to
include: obtaining quotes, negotiating costs, payment terms, and
Expedite and track required parts or processes to support
Will be expected to execute engineering changes within the plant
and with external suppliers.
Serve as liaison between internal customers and suppliers.
Assist in resolving supplier related quality issues.
Expected to mentor less experienced buyers and internal

Bachelor's degree plus 2 years' experience in manufacturing
environment, or an Associate's degree plus 4 years' experience in a
manufacturing environment, or High School Diploma (or equivalent)
plus 7 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
3+ Years negotiating experience.
3+ Years purchasing experiencing in a manufacturing
Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Business,
Finance, or Supply Chain
Professional certifications (i.e. APICS, ISM, etc.)
Working knowledge of ERP or MRP Systems
Experience reading blueprints
Documented MS Office experience: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
Demonstrated verbal, written, and presentation skills
