Guard Lieutenant (Overnights) Position needed for a full-time, staff opportunity with American Ordnance located in Middletown, IA The Work Youll Be Doing: Direct responsibility for the operations of their assigned shift including but not limited to patrol duties, perimeter security, line security, guard scheduling, training, investigations, inspections, day to day non-emergency activities, and personnel performance counseling. Responsible for monitoring Closed Caption Television (CCTV), ISIDS-V alarms, Fire alarms, and dispatching emergency personnel to appropriate areas as needed Performs and adjudicates NCIC Interstate Identification Index (III) criminal background checks; assures that all records and personal observations are kept in the strictest confidence. Maintains and audits internal security logs and documentation; including but not limited to gun and key inventory control Comprehends and understands the necessity to continuously improve security processes and procedures under his/her control What You Need to Bring to the Table: Associates Degree preferably in Criminal Justice, or a minimum of three years of associated work experience Two years experience supervision, preferably law enforcement, security or military IOWA/NCIC Interstate Identification Index Valid Driver's License Ability to obtain a security clearance Great attitude and team player. Successful completion of background screening process. The Big Picture Top Skills You Should Possess: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Demonstrate skills to write routine reports and correspondence and have the ability to communicate with internal and external customers professionally and effectively Ability to participate and pass an annual Company Physical, Physical Ability Test (PAT), and successfully meet Individual Reliability Program (IRP) requirements. Able to pass a bi-annual weapons qualification with M9 pistol and M4 rifle Proficient in use of Windows 10, Outlook, Microsoft programs, NCIC III, and other applicable software programs. Demonstrates the ability to effectively lead and train all subordinate employees Must be able to perform the following physical and mental tasks: Visual acuity (e.g., needed to prepare and analyze data, to transcribe documents, to view a computer, to read, to inspect objects, to operate machinery. Repetitive motion of any part of the body. Capacity to think, concentrate and focus for long periods of time. Ability to read complex documents in the English language.
