Claims Representative II - Subrogation

currently recruiting for an experienced Claims Representative to
work within our Subrogation Unit.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Claims Representative II on our Subrogation team, you'll
provide prompt subrogation investigation, evaluation, and
communication to the claims departments on open claim files, and
handles subrogation recovery efforts on closed claim files where
third party responsibility has been identified. In addition,
--- Receive recovery claim assignments from manager and directly
from established workflow and systems.
--- Determine if subrogation exists and takes steps necessary for
recovering all potential dollars.
--- Evaluate recovery claims and payments made in order to
establish a clear and concise disposition plan to recovery
--- Document all decisions, correspondence, reports and discussions
that occur during the investigation and recovery effort.
--- Monitor claim files during initial and residual periods to
ensure file accuracy.
--- Confer with higher level technical claim personnel for guidance
and direction to ensure the file is handled properly.
--- Refer issues that exceed assigned authorization limits to
--- Obtain and maintain state adjuster licenses as required and
adheres to state specific compliance issues for assigned
jurisdictions regarding recovery efforts/guidelines.
WHAT IT TAKES
--- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
--- Knowledge of insurance policies and coverage, claim payment
procedures, insurance regulations and familiarity with medical and
legal terminology is preferred
--- Prior claims and/or collections work experience is
--- Previous insurance experience and/or coursework required.
--- Possess analytical abilities to review, exercise judgment, and
evaluate recovery claims to make sound decisions.
--- Effective oral and written communication skills with the
ability to maintain confidentiality.
--- Personal computer and math skills beneficial.
