Job Description:

263 bed facility in Dubuque, Iowa has an ongoing need for a cardiac surgeon beginning in November. Board eligible within two years welcome to apply. REQUIREMENTS: Board Certified or truly Board Eligible (under 2 years) in Cardiothoracic or Cardiovascular Surgery; must have BLS certification. LICENSING REQUIREMENT: Candidates that ALREADY possess an ACTIVE Iowa License is HIGHLY preferred due to the timeline. IMLC LOQ in hand a must. Those that do not hold an active license or the LOQ will be rejected. SCHEDULE: Scheduled consists of office hours on Monday-Thursday 8a-5p and Friday 8a-4p (these hours are for both the surgeon and NP, so the surgeon may not be in the office during all these hours). Need 1-2 weeks per month of consistent coverage. Call will be required, but the schedule will vary to include weeknights and weekends. TRAVEL: Local candidates within driving distance are always preferred, but if a candidate is out of driving-distance range and needs flights/rental car, then please indicate specific travel needs on the Stratum Med form.
