-This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. - The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.Your Responsibilities -As a System Test Engineer for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group located in Silvis, IL you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing software tests for a given subsystem on crop harvesting equipment. In addition, you will... -

• Develop and execute the test strategy for the scope of features being delivered - MIL/SIL, HIL, VIL environments, with a focus in HIL/VIL environment
• Develop and execute the software verification plan for features delivered and defects fixed
• Conduct reviews with technicians to execute software run off, knowledge level, assign software, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues
• Document any issues found with installation, performance, functionality, or durability of hardware and/or software under test
• Conduct reviews with system and software engineers to review documented issues and track to resolution -VISA Sponsorship is available for this positionWhat Skills You Need -
  • Experience with software and electrical systems in design or testing (SIL/HIL/VIL) (1 to 3 years through work experience or coursework)
  • Understanding of controller communication protocols (CAN/LIN) along with recording and analyzing data (1 to 3 years through work experience or coursework)
  • Understanding of test strategy and methods for efficiently verifying software
  • Understanding or experience of Agile software development process
  • Strong root cause analysis skillset
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with multifunctional, cross-cultural design teams and interface with vehicle design centers and suppliersWhat Makes You Stand Out -
    • Experience with test planning and execution with electrical systems, software, and components
    • Experience with Python scripting, C++ or other object-oriented languages
    • Experience with the implementation or debugging of J1939 CAN protocol
    • Product design or test experience in the Agriculture, Construction, Forestry, and/or Off-road equipment industries
    • ISTQB foundation certifiedEducation -Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: -
