Job Description:
Join Performance Foodservice, a trailblazer in food
distribution, as a CDL A Delivery Driver on local routes, ensuring
timely distribution of our products to our reputable clientele
including family-owned restaurants and national chains. With an
extensive product portfolio of over 150,000 items, our drivers are
crucial to maintaining the integrity and customer service standards
that define our company. This position offers a stable work
environment, a focus on safety, and the opportunity to be home
nightly. Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport food and
food-related products to customers on assigned local routes.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle
and cargo's safety and compliance. Accurately deliver and unload
products using appropriate tools and technology while adhering to
scheduled delivery times. Maintain communication with dispatch and
management to report delays or issues on the route. Collect proof
of delivery documentation and other necessary paperwork. Adhere to
all safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe vehicle.
Provide excellent service to customers and maintain a professional
demeanor. Skilled at operating a tractor-trailer and handling
equipment for unloading. Ability to navigate efficiently and
safely. Strong time management skills. Ability to communicate
effectively and follow verbal and written instructions. Customer
service oriented. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver's
License (CDL A). Must meet all Department of Transportation (DOT)
regulatory requirements. Clean driving record.
