Unit Supervisor, Customer Support Services - #23-065 Davenport , IA Area of Interest Position Type Full-time Job Description BITCO Corporation , headquartered in Davenport, Iowa, is seeking a Unit Supervisor, Customer Support Services to join our Business Services team at our home office in Davenport, IA. -BITCO provides quality insurance services to special industries including construction, forest products and oil & gas. - Position Summary : Under close guidance and direction of a manager, the Unit Supervisor provides oversight and supervision for employees in the Customer Support Services Unit. This includes helping to distribute work, training, and ensuring that work in the unit is completed timely and appropriately. This is a working supervisory role, which means the individual must be able and willing to perform responsibilities of the employees they are supervising. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Directs and supervises the work of the unit, including the quality, quantity and timeliness of work to meet internal processing requirements
  • In conjunction with Manager, maintains current company and department procedures. Assigns work, provides training and feedback to team members, and conducts timely and appropriate evaluations of job performance in the department
  • Assist with daily activities of the department
  • Work with manager to address issues with processes, employees, and day to day operations
  • Train team members as needed and educate underwriters/raters regarding systems utilized as directed by manager
  • Provide timely and accurate department updates to Manager
  • Maintain vendor relationship in accordance with BITCO's values
  • Work closely and maintain cohesive relationship with other departments at BITCO to achieve unit goals
  • Have a working knowledge of ISO and NCCI, and other tools to perform duties
  • Take on additional tasks and projects as assigned
  • Facilitate meetings with internal BITCO employees appropriately
  • As a management representative, consistently acts in the best interest of BITCO and provides leadership and communication to actively promote BITCO's mission, values, and culture
  • Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: -
    • Some educational background in Business Management, or related field preferred
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills both internally within the team and externally
    • Ability to set and communicate expectations, and follow up on issues as needed
    • Proven ability to stay organized and meet deadlines
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
