Job Description:
Mississippi Valley Surgery Center is seeking a full-time,
part-time or per-diem Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical
services team. This role provides comprehensive nursing care to
patients during the pre-operative and post-operative phases of
their surgical experience. MVSC offers a competitive wage and
benefits package. No weekends, holidays, or call. Key
Responsibilities: Conduct pre-operative assessments and prepare
patients for surgery. Monitor and assess patient status throughout
the perioperative process. Provide post-operative care, including
monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and facilitating recovery.
Educate patients and families on post-surgical care instructions
and discharge planning. Document all patient care activities
accurately and promptly. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
to ensure continuity of care. Qualifications: Active Iowa RN
license. Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking
skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented
environment. BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
ACLS and PALS certification required within 12 months of hire.
Mandatory Reporter Training for dependent adult abuse and child
abuse. Prior experience in an ambulatory surgical center (ASC) is
preferred.
