Registered Nurse (RN) | Neuro ICU Location: Peoria, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,452 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro ICU RN in Peoria, Illinois, 61637! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active Illinois license or confirmation of application process Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Ventriculostomy experience - NIH Stroke Scale Certification - Experience with ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, tPA - Acute stroke management - Post craniectomy care Description: This position is for an RN in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit. The unit has a total of 18 beds. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:2. Common diagnoses include ventriculostomies and strokes with or without tPA. The RN is required to titrate drips as ordered by the physician. There is a Charge Nurse and House Supervisor available on each shift. The Charge Nurse may take an assignment depending on staffing needs. Patient Care Technicians are available with a ratio of 9:1. RNs will troubleshoot RT equipment as needed. There are Tele/Monitor Technicians assigned to the unit. RNs will read and interpret their own telemetry strips with Phillips monitors. Shifts are 12 hours with weekend and holiday requirements. Travelers will float first to other units as needed. The staff can float to any unit in the facility, including intermediate and general floors.
