Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Peoria, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,362 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience License: Registered Nurse License in good standing Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: ASN Description: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame. The RN provides care to these patients via the utilization of the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, financial and human resources within the philosophy of the institution. Responsibilities include all duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service. The RN implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice. Maintaining up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided is essential to assure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team. The RN completes an initial assessment upon patient admission and develops an appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards, based on patient and family needs. Implementing the plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures is a key responsibility. The RN modifies the plan of care based upon continuous evaluation. Taking responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and/or correcting safety hazards and incidents is crucial. Effective communication with others directly and privately when necessary to resolve issues is expected. The RN offers constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers and confers with colleagues to expand their knowledge base. Identifying one’s own learning needs and taking initiative to begin appropriate solutions is important. The RN fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies.
