We are a Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 1955. Our state-of-the-art services, amenities, and excellent staff make Kahl Home a premier nursing facility in the Quad Cities. We are looking for a LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse or RN - Registered Nurse . 12-Hour Shifts - 6a to 6p; 3 shifts per week Every Other Weekend. LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse or RN - Registered Nurse Qualifications: Graduation from accredited nursing program. Current Iowa LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse or RN - Registered Nurse license. Previous experience as a staff nurse/charge nurse in which supervisory and leadership abilities have been demonstrated is preferred. LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse or RN - Registered Nurse Job Summary: Respond to all staff, family members and residents in a courteous, patient and caring manner. Follow established standards of nursing practices and implement facility policies and procedures. Interpret existing policies and procedures to nursing staff, residents, families and physicians. Supervise and evaluate all direct resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary. Manage shift change reports and record sufficient information to implement appropriate follow-up action. Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to nursing supervisor and initiating corrective action immediately.
