Job Description:
Description: Seeking a Board-Certified OB Hospitalist for locum
coverage at a reputable hospital in Davenport, IA. The role
includes weekday and weekend 12 or 24-hour call shifts, providing
comprehensive inpatient obstetric care including high- and low-risk
pregnancies, deliveries (vaginal, C-section, VBAC), and gynecologic
procedures. This is an on-site call position with a collaborative
team and onsite support including labor & delivery staff and 1-2
CNMs. Job Responsibilities: Manage obstetric patients including
triage, labor & delivery, and postpartum care Perform routine and
complicated deliveries, including C-sections and VBACs Provide
gynecologic surgical procedures as required Cover OB/GYN ER calls
and rounding on hospitalized patients Collaborate with residents
and support staff during shifts ? Working Hours: 12-hour shifts (8
AM – 8 PM) or 24-hour call shifts (8 AM – 8 AM) Monday–Friday
coverage required; some weekends included No overtime allowed; call
schedule planned 1-2 months in advance Skills: Proficiency in
managing high- and low-risk obstetric cases Skilled in surgical and
delivery procedures (vaginal, C-section, repair of lacerations)
Effective communication and teamwork in hospital settings Ability
to adapt to locum assignments and collaborate with
multidisciplinary teams
