Job Description Permanent Pulmonary Critical Care Physician Location – Davenport, IA Full-Time | Hospital-Employed | Due to Retirement Position Overview: Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pulmonary Critical Care physician to join a team of four full-time physicians at our 500-bed hospital located on the banks of the Mississippi River. This is a permanent, full-time position replacing a retiring physician. Practice Details: - Practice Type: Inpatient, outpatient, ICU, and procedural - Schedule: Monday–Friday with 1:4 call (every 4th night and weekend) - ICU Type: Medical, surgical, trauma (Level III Trauma Center) - EMR: Cerner Patient Volumes & Responsibilities: - ICU Patients/Day: Max 20 (with NP support) - Inpatient (non-ICU) Patients/Day: Up to 10 - Admissions/Day: Avg. 5 per physician - ICU Beds: 20 - Total Hospital Beds: 500 - Supervision Duties: Required for Nurse Practitioners or Client - Teaching Duties: Yes – supervising advanced practice providers Procedural Skills Required: - Ventilation Management: ETT/NT/Tracheostomy, BiPAP/CPAP - Lines & Monitoring: Central Line, Arterial Line, PA Catheter, IABP - Taps: Thoracentesis, Paracentesis - Procedures: - Chest tube insertion - Bronchoscopy & BAL - EBUS - Pulmonary Function Testing & Rehabilitation - Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing - Bronchoprovocation Testing Clinical Focus Areas: - Asthma, COPD, Pneumonia - Sarcoidosis, Interstitial Lung Disease, Pulmonary Fibrosis - Pulmonary Nodules, Pulmonary Vascular Disease - Evaluation and management of volume/BP issues Candidate Requirements: - Board Certified/Eligible in Pulmonary Disease & Critical Care Medicine (plans to test required if not yet certified) - Fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine completed prior to start - Clean malpractice preferred (no current cases in probate or requiring supervision) Compensation & Benefits: - Competitive Salary (discussed during interview) - Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000 - Full Benefits Package: - Health, dental, vision (with prescription) - Flexible Spending & HSA accounts - Short- and long-term disability - Paid time off - Retirement plans - Life & liability insurance - Genesis wellness program & EAP - CME/professional development resources - Tuition reimbursement programs - Eligible for Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) About Davenport, Iowa – Quad Cities Region: Enjoy life in the vibrant Quad Cities, situated along the scenic Mississippi River. - Affordable living, safe neighborhoods, and short commutes - Local arts, festivals, the Niabi Zoo, and ample outdoor recreation - Proximity to Chicago (2.5 hrs) and University of Iowa (1 hr)
