Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 hours, Nights Hours per Shift: 36
hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor & Delivery
License: Current Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, NRP,
ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Must have a minimum of 2 years of
experience in Labor & Delivery. - Must possess a current license as
a Registered Nurse. - Must have BLS and NRP certification.
Description: Reporting to the Patient Care Manager and following
department policies and care standards, the Registered Nurse
provides professional patient care services to obstetric patients
requiring acute maternal-fetal monitoring and intervention. This
includes caring for laboring women without complications of
pregnancy and managing surgical interventions during labor and
delivery. The role also involves caring for high-risk pregnancies
and promoting family-centered maternity care. Demonstrates
knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate
to the ages of patients served. The entity's philosophy is to

Maintains professional licensure and certifications, engages in
continuing education, and participates in quality improvement
processes. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, advocating
for patient needs, and embracing cultural and religious diversity.
Maintains documentation standards with accurate, timely, and
complete recording. Communicates effectively with various
stakeholders to ensure high-quality nursing care. Practices fiscal
responsibility by seeking ways to provide care and resources within
an efficient cost structure. The role requires physical abilities
including lifting up to 60 pounds, standing for extended periods,
and lifting and positioning patients. The Registered Nurse acts
autonomously, weighs analytical abilities to assess patient needs,
and develops individualized care plans. This position requires
adapting to changing conditions to best meet patient and family
