Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Work closely with the ED staff to be primary individual collecting blood work, respond to all codes, and collect all blood cultures.Collect specimens for diagnostic testing that include blood, throat, nasopharyngeal and TB testing. Key accountabilities include performing appropriate patient and specimen identification, maintaining aseptic technique during specimen collection and using correct equipment. Perform clerical activities such as logging in specimens, quick registration, and ordering labs as well as basic processing of specimens such as centrifuging and transferring as directed to support diagnostic testing. May serve inpatient and/or outpatient areas.
