The pharmacy technician plays an integral role in the pharmacy by assisting our pharmacists in distributing medication to patients.

A pharmacy technician on the Complete Care and Refill Outreach Teams are responsible for pursuing new medications or refills for our patients. You will pursue medications for our patients by sending escribes, faxes, calling doctors, and calling our patients . These positions are call oriented, repetitive and fast-paced. To be successful in this job you have to be very comfortable working on several different computer programs and can interpret data quickly and accurately. . With that being said, you will process lots of patient's information every day. You will have the satisfaction of knowing that YOU are helping them receive their medications, and that will help them be more adherent and stay healthier longer.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Reach and maintain productivity and quality metrics
  • Send medication requests via Escribe and facsimile
  • Contact prescribers offices via telephone in pursuit of medication
  • Contact customers via telephone and text in pursuit of medication
  • Utilize workday trackers as assign to collect necessary data
  • Maintain team audits on Google Sheets
  • Assist in the training of new team members
  • Work queues and respond to questions from team members and/or the help Slack channel as needed
  • Provide one call resolution on all calls
  • Review and acknowledge any AITs received daily
  • Special projects and data task support as assigned

  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance.

    • Achieves and maintains pharmacy technician certification
    • Easily navigates through multiple computer systems
    • Comfortable on the phone to engage with customers, other pharmacies, doctor offices, insurance companies, etc.
    • Ability to manage time well and follow up with team members to ensure work is being completed

      • Maintain high level of professionalism and customer service
      • Abides by all PHI and HIPAA laws
      • Keep a high level of professionalism when speaking customers and other divvy employees
      • Keep lines of communication open with the team members to address potential issues that may arise
