Job Description:
Are you passionate about leading and developing people? Are you
energetic and enjoy speaking in front of an audience? You could be
HODGE's new Training Manager! This individual is responsible for
monitoring the overall training of warehouse personnel. This
position will work directly with all levels of management to ensure
consistent training across all shifts and locations. The position
has the option to be based in either the Quad Cities IA/IL area or
Dubuque, IA and will require occasional travel a few times a year
to North Carolina.

What You'll Do
Establish and coordinate a company-wide approach to training and
development
Train, motivate, and develop training coordinators, manage
schedules and workflow
Develop consistent training plans and processes
Monitor weekly training activities to ensure operational needs are
met
Modify training content or delivery method to meet training
objectives
Develop new training programs as needed
Ensure employees have knowledge, skills, and tools required to
effectively train and interact with employees
Create a means of measuring the effectiveness of training programs
(i.e., testing, surveys)
Analyze training data with recommendations
Identify opportunities for training improvements such as
operational changes or industry developments
Work toward continuous quality improvement
Stay current with changing technology
Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and
procedures
Reporting to this position: Training Coordinators
What You Need
Required:
High School diploma, GED or continuing education
Minimum 2 years of relevant training or supervisory experience in a
warehouse; or an equivalent combination of education and
experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills
Ability to conduct training classes for audiences at all levels of
the organization
Intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Tools)
Solid understanding of various learning styles
Preferred:
College degree and/or continuing education
OSHA 10-Hour certification
Powered Industrial Truck, Train-the-Trainer certification
Forklift Operator Train-the-trainer certification
Hoist Operator Train-the-trainer certification
Understanding and/or experience with trends in warehouse automation
and technology application
SAP software experience/knowledge
