Work you'll do

  • Conduct independent, comprehensive assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls and control enhancements employed within or inherited by an IT system to determine the overall effectiveness of the security controls (as defined in NIST 800-37)
  • Maintain and develop information systems assurance and accreditation documentation
  • Ensure information systems are operated, used, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and in line with client requirements
  • Validate the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data in accordance with information systems programs, policies, procedures, and goals
  • Develop procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility; prevent and defend against unauthorized systems, network, and data
  • Develop strategies to assess whether applications are designed to client standards while eliminating security risks
  • Manage migration process of application data
  • Work with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) applications

    Qualifications

    Required:


    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust clearance for this role
    • 3+ years of experience capturing and refining information security, operational, and security requirements
    • 3+ years of experience securing configurations and implementing security controls, configuration changes, software/hardware updates/patches, and vulnerability scanning
    • 3+ years of experience working with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST 800-53, DoD Security Standards, and GRC applications.
    • At least one Cyber certification such as: CISSP, Cisco CCNA Security, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), CompTIA Security+, (ISC)2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
    • This position is remote but some travel up to 15% may be required


      Preferred:

      • Ability to provide clients with strategic direction to help them improve risk management processes/procedures
      • Experience supporting the US Department of Defense (DoD) or other Federal agencies as a service member, civilian, contractor, or consultant
      • Experience with Microsoft Azure environment policies and security control inheritance
      • Experience with cloud ATO packages
      • Experience in all phases of the technology implementation lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, build, go-live, testing) and understanding of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC)
      • Experienced with writing RMF Policy (development & review)


        For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top end of the range, but such a decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $84,910 to $190,450.

        You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
