Director of Youth Ministries (Part-time) My client, a church community full of passion and life currently seeking a Director of Children's Ministries, who will fully embrace our mission, vision and values. We have kids who are eager to love and learn about God! The successful candidate will be able to minister to our children (infant through 5th grade) and their parents. Position Title: Director of Children's Ministries (DCM) Accountable to: Senior Pastor and Children's Ministry Committee Classification: Part Time Hours Worked: 20 hours/week, year round Exempt? YES Purpose of position: To minister to children (infant through 5 th grade) and their parents Education: Bachelor's Degree with focus on Christian Education, Christianity/Religion, Early Childhood Education preferred. Location: Media, PA (Delaware County) Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the vision, budget and safety policies for DCM in collaboration with the Children's Committee and Chair of Children's Committee
• Provide leadership and assessment for all Children Ministry Christian Education - such as Sunday Mornings, Wednesday Evenings, Church Retreats, or All-Church mission trip
  • This includes programming, curriculum, training, resourcing, staffing, teaching, scheduling
  • Coordinate Volunteers/Teachers for DCM including recruiting, training, supporting, resourcing, supervising
  • Provide opportunities for times of parent and family fellowship
  • Coordinate Worship and Music Elements of DCM with CM Committee, Worship Committee, and MPC Staff
  • Initiate, plan and implement Outreach Programs including Vacation Bible School
  • Oversee facility upkeep of Children's Wing (including all Sunday School rooms and Resource Room) in coordination with volunteers and Property Committee
  • Recruit, train, encourage, and supervise Nursery Attendants or volunteers
  • Attend Staff meetings, Children's Ministry Committee Meetings, other MPC Committee Meetings on occasion, training sessions as able
  • Availability to parents, congregants by means of regularly scheduled office hours
  • Further integrate children into times of worship together
  • Other duties as requested
