The Manufacturing Engineer will develop and continuously improve manufacturing processes for my client's production facility based in Rockford, IL. You'll implement LEAN/CI tools to drive cost savings and increased production efficiency, as well as develop tooling to aid manufacturing. Client Details Our client, an aerospace and industrial markets supplier based just west of Chicago, was established more than 80 years ago. They are a family run business and describe themselves as a one stop shop where they can serve their customers in full service style. They currently reside in an 80,000 sq. ft. facility with 60 CNC machines supporting production for high mix/ low volume projects. This company believes strongly in the development of their people, and expect this role to grow into a leadership position down the line - average tenure being 20 years for full time employments. They will offer paid trainings as well as tuition reimbursement opportunities to support aggressive career growth Description Design, implement and monitor manufacturing processes and equipment. Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues. Ensure compliance with industry safety and environmental standards. Conduct training sessions for production staff on new processes and equipment. Maintain documentation of all manufacturing processes and improvements. Participate in product design reviews to ensure manufacturability. Perform other duties as assigned by the management team. Prior experience in fastener manufacturing is required. Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry standards. Working knowledge of CAD software for design of custom tooling/fixtures to aid production. Proven experience utilizing LEAN/CI/Six Sigma tools to drive production cost savings. Strong problem-solving and project management skills. The ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with various departments. Job Offer Base salary between $80,000 - $105,000 depending on experience. Annual bonus incentive based on personal performance company revenue. Unlimited PTO. 4% 401k match.
