Job Description Maintenance Technician B - (II) /n /n Transdev in Peoria, Illinois is seeking an experienced B-Level Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a level B Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles. /n /n Transdev is proud to offer: /n /n Mechanic B Employee represented by Local NO. 416 of the Amalgamated Transit Union: /n /n Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement: /n /n/n /n - Starting pay $24.61 with progression based on CBA negotiation. /n /n/n /n Benefits include: /n /n/n /n - Vacation: Monthly accrual of 4 to 10 hours monthly based on length of employment. (Vacation time rolls over annually with max accrual of 160 hours) /n /n - Paid Sick Leave: After 90 calendar days of employment full-time employees recieve:5 paid sick days /n /n - Personal Days: After 90 calendar days of employment full-time employees receive: 2 personal days /n /n - 401k after 90 days of employment /n /n/n /n Full-Time are offered on the 1st day of the month following 30 calendar days of employment: /n /n/n /n - Medical /n /n - Dental /n /n - Vision /n /n - Company Life Insurance /n /n - 9 company holidays /n /n - Bereavement and Jury Duty Pay /n /n - Company paid ASE testing and tool reimbursement /n /n/n /n Key Responsibilities: /n /n/n /n - Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot diesel engine issues. /n /n - Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on diesel engine components, ensuring optimal functionality. /n /n - Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow. /n /n - Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance. /n /n - Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines. /n /n - Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications. /n /n - Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge /n /n - Other duties as required. /n /n/n /n Qualifications: /n /n/n /n - Mechanic’s Tool Set /n /n - Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
