Job Details A leading HVAC solutions provider in Central Illinois is seeking a detail-driven HVAC Mechanical Estimator to join their team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about providing energy-efficient and cost-effective HVAC solutions to commercial clients. You’ll work closely with sales, engineering, and project management teams to develop accurate estimates and support the successful delivery of HVAC projects throughout Central Illinois. Responsibilities: Support the Sales Team in estimating mechanical projects and service contracts Prepare detailed cost estimates using internal tools while targeting margin goals Collaborate with internal Building Automation and Engineering teams on system design and scope Assist in determining in-house vs subcontracted labor for upcoming projects Join field visits and job walks with territory reps to stay connected to real-world conditions Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and industry partners Support project managers to ensure high-quality and profitable project outcomes Lead or support monthly training sessions with sales staff Attend sales and company-wide meetings as needed Required: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or Construction Management or equivalent experience 3–7 years of estimating experience in the commercial HVAC industry Proficiency with estimating software (FastEST, QuoteSoft, or similar tools preferred) Strong attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy Excellent communication and organizational skills Experience in HVAC system design or engineering Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools (Salesforce a plus) Interested in hearing more?
