So if you want to be challenged in an exciting and fast-paced environment, this is the place for you.Job Summary:As the leader of the accounting team, this position is in charge of closely monitoring the property's financial health through maintaining, managing, and analyzing financial statements, payroll budgets, tax compliance issues, etc.Job Responsibilities:Auditing and reporting casino, food and beverage revenues.Supervises the revenue audit staff and ensures compliance with internal controlsSupervises all accounts payable functionsIssues audit exceptions for internal control violations.Supervises the daily revenue audits performed by the revenue auditors. Audits include slots, table games, food and beverage, cage operations, soft count among others.Works with Financial Controller to assume monthly/daily revenue amounts are properly included in the general ledger.Files daily gaming tax reports with Illinois Gaming Board.Yearling filing of IRS reports: W2G, 1099's, and 1042'sQualifications:Three to five years experience in casino finance at a supervisory levelBachelors Degree in Finance and or experience equivalenceStrong administrative, organizational and decision making abilitiesExtensive use of MS Office products, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and AccessExcellent writing skills and analytical mindAbility to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents such as technical journals, financial reports, and legal documentsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inferenceAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variablesPhysical Demands:Regularly required to see, talk, hear, walk, sit, and standFrequently required to use hands to handle, feel, and reachOccasionally required to stoopOccasionally lift and or move up to 30 poundsWork Environment:The work environment contains bright lights, loud noise, and stressful situations
